These are of course, quite autobiographical as well as historical. This was my life, too. The people in these photos, aside from their many accomplishments in the arts, are all friends and colleagues of mine. These pieces, which mostly combine several related images, are not just old publicity photographs (though many are). They are not formal portraits, and they are not just chance snapshots. The images here have been chosen because they represent not just what we did, they are documents of who we were. It isn't pictures of what they looked like. It is the way they were.
